About the Ujjain & Omkareshwar trip
Ujjain and Omkareshwar sit close enough to pair into one yatra, and together they cover two of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The centrepiece is the Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar, performed before dawn with sacred ash — the only ritual of its kind in India, and the single hardest booking on this trip.
Bhasma Aarti permits are issued by the temple committee against ID proof and released in a narrow window. We apply on your behalf the moment the window opens and send you the confirmation slip directly. If a permit is not granted, we tell you immediately rather than promising a backdoor.
Omkareshwar completes the circuit — an island shaped like Om in the Narmada, with Mamleshwar on the opposite bank and the option of a parikrama by boat or on foot.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Journey to Ujjain
Overnight train to Ujjain or Indore. Check in, evening Sandhya Aarti at Ram Ghat.
Day 2
Bhasma Aarti and Ujjain temples
Entry to the temple around 3 AM for Bhasma Aarti, followed by Kal Bhairav, Mangalnath, Harsiddhi Mata and Sandipani Ashram.
Day 3
Omkareshwar and Mamleshwar
Drive to Omkareshwar via Indore, darshan on the island, Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga, and the ghats in the evening.
Day 4
Return
Optional Indore stop for Khajrana Ganesh and Sarafa food street, then the return train.

How do I get a Bhasma Aarti ticket in Ujjain?
Permits are released online by the Mahakaleshwar temple committee against ID proof, usually a few days in advance. We apply the moment the window opens and forward the confirmation to you. Nobody can guarantee a permit — anyone who does is selling you a story.
Can Ujjain and Omkareshwar be done in two days?
It is possible but tight. Three days is comfortable and lets you attend Bhasma Aarti without sacrificing Omkareshwar.
